Review of The Wise and The Wicked
Review (4 Stars): The Wise and The Wicked was filled with rich beautiful dialogue and a magical storyline that will put a spell over readers. Ruby comes from a long ling of women who have the ability to see into the future as to who they’ve become when they die. Once they see this, they can’t run from it and they can’t change it no matter what they do. When her Great Aunt Polina dies and it doesn’t match her vision, Ruby and her cousin, Cece, go on a journey to learn the truth about the Chernyavsky women. They soon learn that information comes with a price and there is more to their history than they could ever imagine.
I enjoyed The Wise and The Wicked and following Ruby on her quest for the truth about her heritage. This story was well-written, intriguing and I loved the mystery that surrounded Ruby and her sisters. This was an enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to seeing what Ms. Podos puts out next.
