Review of Family Magic
Review (3.75 Stars): I liked Syd in this story and I remembered what it was like trying to fit into a new place when you don’t know anyone. For Syd, she is just biding her time until she turns 18 and can leave this magical family business behind. Her family wants her to accept her position of power and utilize her powers to the best of her ability. This causes a lot of conflict in the book and it takes Syd a while to adjust to what her magic can do for. I thoroughly enjoyed Family Magic with its magic, humorous characters and fantastic world-building. Syd was a fun character for me and I’m excited to read the rest of the series to see where her powers go from here.
