As the new music box store owner and resident of Keepsake Cove, a quaint town full of collectible shops on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Callie Reed is eager to get more involved in her community. She volunteers to plan the Fall street decorations and welcome a visiting author who’s come for a special book signing. But the celebratory mood is cut short when the local B&B owner is found dead, killed by a pair of vintage scissors.
Suspicion is cast on the victim’s estranged wife, Dorothy, who owns Keepsake Cove’s vintage sewing shop. Callie is sure Dorothy is innocent, and the visiting author agrees. Together, they begin their own investigation, only to discover that many people in Keepsake Cove have secrets. Secrets that are worth killing to keep quiet.
Character Guest Post
Hi, I’m Callie Reed. I moved to Keepsake Cove a few months ago, when my Aunt Melodie unexpectedly left me her music box shop and the amazing, fairy tale-like cottage behind it. It’s been a huge change in my life, including giving me the push I needed to finally end a stagnant relationship, and though it’s been a struggle, I’m so grateful for this new life.
Of course, there always has to be a downside. When Aunt Mel died, I couldn’t believe the official ruling of “accidental,” and I was right. But that’s a whole other story. The other part is that Aunt Mel seems to be sending me messages through our family heirloom music box. Yeah, I know, I didn’t believe it at first, either. And I’m still not sure. But I have to admit that the times that music box started playing all on its own seemed too close to when clues popped up about my aunt’s death to be coincidental.
After I solved the mystery of my aunt’s death, things were quiet in Keepsake Cove, for a while, and I thought I’d begun to know what normal was. But then the owner of the local B&B was murdered with a pair of vintage scissors, and his estranged wife happened to own a vintage sewing shop. Poor Dorothy! Of course this sweet older woman was innocent. So how could I not pitch in to clear her, especially when Aunt Mel’s music box seemed to be urging me on? (Or was it?)
Things got really complicated, though, with hidden doors and secret passageways discovered in that B&B and secrets coming out about a lot of townspeople. Is that what normal is in Keepsake Cove? If so, it would have been nice if Aunt Mel had given me a heads up before bring me here.
Or maybe that’s what she’s been doing all along?

Review of A Vintage Death
Review (4.5 Stars): A Vintage Death was a delightfully entertaining mystery and I wanted to visit Callie’s shop so I could pick out my own music box. Callie is a fun, smart heroine and I absolutely loved her amazing personality. This is the second book in the series and I loved every moment of my visit to Keepsake Cove. This is a mystery that I know readers will love and want to keep coming back for more.
