Every red-blooded single male in St. Helena wants Harper Owens . . . as a friend. Despite her efforts at seduction, Harper seems to have good girl written all over her. The only guy with a knack for unleashing her inner vixen is firefighter and resident rule-breaker Adam Baudouin. Agreeing to a faux-mance could help him secure a promotion—and save her grandmother’s lingerie shop. But playing with fire has consequences. Especially when the flame comes courtesy of St. Helena’s own Five-Alarm Casanova . . .

On the surface, Harper is all milk and cookies. Who knew that beneath those quirky art-teacher outfits was a bombshell body wrapped in sinful lace? None of Adam’s quick-and-easy hookups have prepared him for a connection this extraordinary. First he has to convince her to trust the town’s most notorious playboy. Even tougher—he’ll have to trust himself to be the real-life hero this warm, sexy, and wonderful woman deserves.

Review of Need You For Mine

Review (4 Stars):  Need You For Mine was a sweet, charming romance about finding love with the “wrong guy.”  Harper has always been thrown into the friend zone by every guy that she has dated except one, Adam Baudouin.  Adam is the epitome of a player, a sexy and smooth-talking alpha male that Harper knew would never be interested in her.  The only thing is that Harper is wrong about Adam’s intention and he definitely sees Harper as more than just a friend.  Will she give this sexy firefighter a chance to win her heart or let love just pass her by?

This is the third book in the Heroes of St. Helena series and I loved Harper’s spunky personality from the beginning.  She was so used to guys seeing her as just a friend, she didn’t realize that Adam was flirting with her because he liked her, not because he was being a jerk.  These two characters seemed to spar with another verbally every chance they got but I loved that about their relationship.  He made Harper see that she was a beautiful woman that he wanted to be with and that her dreams could come true if she just gave them a chance.  Their sexual chemistry was off the charts and it was just a matter of time before they gave into their true feelings.

Ms. Adair is a very talented writer and I love all the books in this series.  I’m looking forward to her new series that is coming out later this year and I can’t wait to meet the next character that is just around the corner from finding love.
