“Ilona Andrews” is the pseudonym for a husband-and-wife writing team. Ilona is a native-born Russian and Gordon is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army. Contrary to popular belief, Gordon was never an intelligence officer with a license to kill, and Ilona was never the mysterious Russian spy who seduced him. They met in college, in English Composition 101, where Ilona got a better grade. (Gordon is still sore about that.) They have co-authored two New York Times and USA Today bestselling series—the urban fantasy of Kate Daniels and the romantic urban fantasy of The Edge—and are working on the next volumes for both. They live in Texas with their two children and many dogs and cats.

Review of White Hot

Review (4.5 Stars): White Hot is an action-packed thrill ride filled with twist and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Nevada and Connor were a great couple together with amazing chemistry and they just fit together so well. In this story, Nevada must help an acquaintance figure out who killed his wife and it puts her back in touch with the one man who captured her heart, Connor “Mad” Rogan. The stakes are high on this assignment and Nevada will need all the help she can get because someone wants to make sure the killer isn’t found and will do whatever it takes to keep their secrets hidden.

Burn for Me was one of my favorite books and I was thrilled to find out that Ms. Andrews was coming out with a new book in the series. Nevada and Connor are both magic users and I love spending time in this literary world because you never know what can happen next for these characters. White Hot was an exciting, suspenseful story with the right dash of humor that definitely kept me entertained. Looking forward to reading the next book, Wildfire, which is due out this summer.
