Review (5 Stars): Ms. Robson has become one of my favorite writers in the last few years and the Weird Girls series has kept me on the edge of my seat since the very first book. Of Flame and Light is Taran’s story and in this book, her new arm has been causing her a lot of trouble, even putting the people that she cares about in danger. To help her come to terms with her new appendage and harness her magic again, Taran agrees to join the local coven of witches and have them teach her to control her power. This doesn’t come without a price and Taran is running out of her time because her magic is slowly burning her up from the inside.
Of Flame and Light was filled with so much emotion and Taran’s journey almost broke my heart. She was still dealing with the breakup of her mate, Gemini, and seeing him wherever she went as she dealt with this rogue arm, was heart-wrenching. Even though her magic was slowly killing her, she tried to be brave and hold it all together and you could see the emotional struggle she was going through every step of this story. I adore the Wird Sisters and these books always show me that love and the bond of sisters will always conquer all, even in the darkest of the days. I hope this series never stops because these wonderful women truly have a special place in my heart.
