Sadie Hartwell grew up near the Canadian border in northern New York State, where it’s cold, dark, and snowy almost half the year—a perfect environment for nurturing a simultaneous love of mystery fiction and needlework. She attended St. Lawrence University, graduating with a degree in history, and has worked as a waitress, handbag designer/manufacturer, paralegal, and copy editor before turning to writing full time. Now she gets to play with yarn and make up stories whenever she wants, and wishes everyone had a job as much fun as hers.
Review of Yarned and Dangerous
Review (4 Stars): Yarned and Dangerous is the first book in the new Tangled Web mystery series and I couldn’t believe how many times I laughed out loud while reading this wonderful tale. Josie was such a great heroine that had a fun personality and I could understand her dilemma about spending time with her uncle after being a NYC girl. This mystery was well-written and complex and I just love how Ms. Hartwell did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. Can’t wait to see what is next for Josie in the next installment.
