Review (4 Stars): A Better Man was an entertaining romance about finding love after picking up the pieces from a devastating loss. Jordan Kincade was at the height of his professional hockey career when he received news that both of his parents died in a helicopter crash. Coming home to help run his family’s winery wasn’t what he originally planned but Jordan owed so much to his family and would do whatever his siblings needed. Now, Jordan must discover the reason his little sister is flunking her classes and to do that, he will need the help of the one woman whose heart he broke many years ago. Will she help Jordan save his sister’s future or will the past stand in their way?
I fell in love with Lucy and Jordan’s story. Jordan broke Lucy’s heart when they were in school with one another and Lucy hasn’t forgotten that time in her life. Jordan wanted to help his sister during this difficult time and this was also his one chance to make amends with Lucy. Jordan seemed like a jerk in the beginning of this story and I’m glad that he turned things around with Lucy. They belonged with one another and Lucy was the perfect person to help his sister.
A Better Man was a great start to a brand new series and I know that these characters will charm readers. Ms. Terry has a magical way of writing romances and I can’t wait to see what happens from here. Hopefully, the next book in the series will be here before the end of the year.
