Romance writer Julia Landon knows how to write a happily-ever-after. Creating one for herself is a whole different story. But after a surprising–and surprisingly passionate–kiss under the mistletoe at Harmony Harbor’s holiday party last year, Julia thought she might have finally found her very own chance at true love. Until she learns her Mr. Tall, Dark, and Broodingly Handsome has sworn off relationships. Well, if she can’t have him in real life, Julia knows just how to get the next best thing….
.
Aidan’s only priority is to be the best single dad ever. And this year, he plans to make the holidays magical for his little girl, Ella Rose. But visions of stolen kisses under the mistletoe keep dancing in his head, and when he finds out Julia has written him into her latest novel, he can’t help imagining the possibilities of a future together. Little does he know, though, Julia has been keeping a secret that threatens all their dreams. Luckily, ’tis the season for a little Christmas magic.

Review of Sugarplum Way

Review (5 Stars):  Ms. Mason has always written wonderful small-town romances and Sugarplum Way is the perfect romance for this holiday season.  Julia Landon has been suffering from writer’s block while writing her new romance because she keeps getting distracted thinking about the sexy man that she had shared a kiss with last year.  Aidan Gallagher is the perfect guy for Julia but he has sworn off relationships and feels that Julia is hiding something from everyone in Harmony Harbor.  When Aidan discovers that Julia has written him into her new book, sparks fly but Julia’s carefully kept secret may bring things to a screeching halt.

I loved Julia’s character because she was so sweet and put everyone else’s happiness in front of her own.  The chemistry between Julia and Aidan was electric and I wanted to smack Aidan because he kept telling himself that she wasn’t his type even though you could feel the heat between them.  They were so cute together and I loved the humorous predicaments that Julia kept finding herself in whenever he was around.

This book is part of the delightful Harmony Harbor series and I loved seeing how the other characters were doing from the previous books.  Each book can stand on its own and you can follow along without any issues but I recommend reading the first book, Mistletoe Cottage, so you can meet all these wonderful characters from the beginning.  I can’t wait to read the next book by Ms. Mason because I know it will definitely be a wonderful romance.
