Review of Eclair and Present Danger

Review (4.5 Stars): Eclair and Present Danger is a delicious new mystery series with entertaining characters and scrumptious desserts that leave me wanting more.  Winnie is struggling to save her beloved bakery and when an inheritance from a wonderful friend leaves her with a grumpy cat and a vintage ambulance, she has to close her doors. Soon, Winnie finds the body of her dear friend’s husband and to comfort the people around her, she comes up with a new idea.  Use the vintage ambulance to deliver desserts and look for clues as to the responsible party for Bart’s death.  She better find the killer soon before she becomes the next victim on their list.

I loved this mystery.  Winnie was a charming heroine and her determination to keep going after a setback was inspiring.  I enjoyed watching her create her culinary masterpieces and wanted desperately for her to deliver something wonderful to me.  This mystery was well-written, engaging and definitely a great start to a new series.  Can’t wait to read more about Winnie and her Emergency Dessert Squad adventures in the future.
