Moving from Los Angeles to small, picturesque Mackinac Island to work in a bike shop might seem crazy, but Evie knows it’s the best decision she’s ever made. That’s not to say she’s gotten rid of all her stress; after all, the upcoming Lilac Festival has everyone in town riding in circles.

But things really go downhill when a ferry full of tourists—including Evie’s friend Fiona’s former boss, the editor of a sleazy rag in LA—arrives on the island. No one knows why Peephole Perry came all the way to Mackinac, but things aren’t looking good for Fiona when Peep is found dead. Now Evie has to gear up and get a grip on the truth if she wants to clear her friend’s name…

Review of Braking For Bodies

Review (4.25 Stars): This is the second book in the Cycle Path Mystery series and I loved everything about this mystery.  Evie Bloomfield is helping with the local Lilac Festival and retrieving her friend’s wedding dress when tragedy strikes.  Fiona’s former boss is found dead with Fiona standing right over the body.  Now, Evie must help find a killer before Fiona goes to jail for a crime that she didn’t commit.

I loved the humor and witty dialogue that was laced throughout this story.  Evie was such a fun character and you couldn’t help but love spending time with her.  The secondary characters were very entertaining, with a well-written mystery and the tourists in town thinking that this was all a part of a murder mystery weekend made this story absolutely delightful.  Can’t wait to read book number three in the series because these mysteries keep getting better and better.
