Review of Kill The Queen
Review (5 Stars): I’ve been a huge fan of Ms. Estep’s for quite some time and her new book, Kill The Queen, is nothing short of AMAZING!! Evie has always been the royal with no magical power after her parents were killed, forcing her to live with her cousin’s family. When her cousin, the crown princess, decides to murder her entire family for power and Evie barely escapes with her life, she must do something. Before Queen Cordelia died, she told Evie that she must find a certain gladiator troupe and have them train her because she is the last of her line. Now, Evie must stay safe because there will be a time where she can avenge her family and friends by killing the new queen.
This is the first book in a brand new series and I’m hooked. The characters, the writing and the action kept me glued to my seat and I finished this book in one sitting. I loved Evie, who was this great character that was trying to live her life in the castle until she was old enough to go back her family’s home. She was strong, smart and I was amazed at how resilient she was during the beginning of all this. This book is one of my favorites this year and I need the next one now!!!!
