Review of I’ll Be Home For Christmas
Review (4.75 Stars): Lori Wilde has an amazing way of creating small town romances that are perfect for any season. I’ll Be Home For Christmas is a great holiday romance between two characters that needed it the most during this magical time of the year. Gabi had a difficult life before coming to Twilight, Texas as part of an exchange program to experience someone else’s life over the holiday season. Christmas has always been a hard time for Gabi because of losing her brother and this is finally an opportunity to experience the small town life that they always had dreamed of. Meeting Joe Cheek wasn’t what Gabi had planned on but this sexy hometown guy was exactly what she needed. Now she just has to give love a chance and maybe this will be the best Christmas of all.
I can’t tell you how much I loved this story. Gabi had gone through so much pain over her life and she felt utterly alone when it came to the holidays. When she decided to change lives with Joe’s sister, it was a change to start fresh and experience a true Christmas in a small town. It also gave her a chance to forget what Christmas meant to her and what she had lost. My heart ached for her and I loved that she met Joe within a few minutes of arriving in Twilight. The chemistry between these two characters was off the charts and even though she tried to fight it, Joe was the one for her. I just wish there were more guys like Joe in the world. The wonderful things that he did for Gabi made me cry because they were just so thoughtful and caring. What a great guy!
I’ll Be Home For Christmas is part of the Twilight, Texas series by Ms. Wilde but you don’t have to read them in order to follow along with the story. Each of them are absolutely wonderful and sweet and have you believing that true love can conquer anything. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series because I know that I will love it.
