Review of The Secret, Book & Scone Society

Review (4 Stars): This is the start of a brand new series for Ms. Adams and I enjoyed meeting the lovely ladies of the Secret, Book and Scone Society as they solve their first mystery together.  Nora is a great heroine that has had her fair share of tragedy and pain, which has kept her from trusting anyone that she meets.  This all changes when she becomes involved in a murder mystery after meeting a man who suddenly ends up dead just a few hours after their initial meeting. Now, with the help of her new friends, they are determined to find a killer before another victim is added to the killer’s list.

The great thing about this book was that it was more than just a murder mystery.  It was a journey of discovery for these ladies, especially Nora, who had a difficult time trusting anyone after her accident. Nora had emotional and physical scars from her past and by helping to solve this murder, it brought her the knowledge that she was worthy of friendship and could let people in without worrying that they would turn out to betray her.

I’m looking forward to reading more about the adventures of the Secret, Book and Scone Society in future installments of this series and seeing how much this friendship will change each of them for the better.
