They say one’s home is one’s castle, but when it comes to Wynter Castle, Merry would like it to belong to someone else. But until a buyer bites, she could use some extra dough, so she decides to take in renters. The idea pans out, and Merry’s able to find a handful of tenants eager to live in a real castle. The only problem is most of them are crumby, tea-swilling old biddies.
The Legion of Horrible Ladies, as Merry calls them, is led by the terribly nasty—and fabulously wealthy—Cleta Sanson. The abrasive Englishwoman keeps everyone whipped into a frenzy—until she meets an embarrassing end behind a locked door. Evidence reveals that Cleta was murdered, yet no one is privy to how the deed was done. Merry knows she must quickly find the killer before another of her guests gets greased…

Review of Death of An English Muffin
Review (4 Stars): Merry has got her hands full with the Legion of Horrible Ladies who have moved in temporarily to Wynter Castle as tenants and are causing problems wherever they go. Especially, Cleta Sanson, a bitter old woman, who makes it a point to insult every person she comes into contact with. So it is no surprise when she ends up dead and the evidence points at foul play and Merry must find a killer before any more of her house guests check out for good.
This is such a great series and I love Merry and Wynter Castle. The Legion of Horrible Ladies are exactly that, horrible women who whine and complain about everything especially Cleta Sanson. Some of the things that she had done in this story made me want to strangle her too. Death of An English Muffin was a delightful and entertaining romp with charming characters that will have you coming back to Wynter Castle for more. This is the third book in the Merry Muffin mystery series and each mystery is just as fun and entertaining as the last.
