Review of Dead To The Last Drop

Review (5 Stars): Dead To The Last Drop was a delicious mystery with entertaining characters, edge of your seat suspense that kept me turning the pages all through the night.  Clare is struggling to make Village Blend DC a success but is finding that things aren’t going as she planned with her new temperamental chef and a jazz club that is slowly coming to life.  When she finds out that the president’s daughter has been secretly playing at her club, Clare can’t believe that this talented young woman is hiding her true identity.  Soon, Clare finds another dead body and she becomes involved in a murder that may bring her new life to an end if she doesn’t find a killer before it is too late.

The Coffeehouse Mysteries are the main reason I fell in love with cozy mysteries and I enjoy each one of these stories.  Clare is an absolutely wonderful character and I love how far she has come with Mike since the beginning of the series.  This story was entertaining from beginning to end and the complex plot twists in the nation’s capitol had me all turned around and I had no idea who was the killer until the final reveal. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series and I hope to read more about Clare and Mike for many years to come.
