Chef Camille’s sister Renee is managing the festival with a cast-iron fist, upsetting everyone, including her sister. Which is bad for Camille when Renee turns up dead in the chef’s kitchen. Mimi is still building her business, so her first course of action is to whip up answers and catch the unsavory perpetrator before Camille takes a dusting and gets burned.

Review of A Souffle of Suspicion
Review (4.5 Stars): Mimi Rousseau is enjoying the steady stream of customers from the tourist season in Napa Valley and is excited to take part in the Sweet Treats Festival, which will be a boost to their town’s economy. Chef Camille’s sister, Renee, is helping to run the festivities but things don’t go according to plan when Renee’s body is found in Camille’s kitchen. Mimi must now help to find a killer before her beloved chef is charged with a crime that she didn’t commit.
This is the second book in the French Bistro mystery series and the quirky cast of characters make this story an absolute treat. I love Mimi’s personality and the recipes that are described in this mystery make me want to book a table at the Bistro immediately. A Souffle of Suspicion was a charming and fun story that will definitely keep you guessing until the very last page. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series to see what trouble Mimi finds herself in next.
