Review (4.5 Stars): Lady Bridget’s Diary was an absolutely delightful romance that I devoured from beginning to end. Lady Bridget was a fun, vibrant character that was thrown into London society with her sisters after learning that their family inherited a well-respected title. I loved her personality and the way she interacted with others was a joy to watch. When Lady Bridget and Lord Darcy meet, sparks fly, but not in a good way. They immediately disliked one another but after a period of time, their mutual distaste turned into mutual attraction.

I didn’t like Lord Darcy at all in the beginning because he was exactly as Lady Bridget described. Cold, impassive and a bore to be around. It took some time for Lady Bridget to get him to crack a smile and his personality began to grow on me over the course of the book. There were scenes in this book that made me smile as it reminded me of a certain movie about another Bridget’s diary and finding love with someone you would never expect to.

This is the first book in Ms. Rodale’s new series and I am curious to read what happens to the rest of her family. Ms. Rodale is such a talented author and I can’t wait to read some of her backlist until we get the next book in the series.
